- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field
- Experience in a Sports Information Department
- Familiarity with Major League Baseball
- Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, etc)
- Above average written and verbal communication skills
- Published writing samples
- Ability to work long hours especially during homestands
Assist with Baseball Communications/Publications/Photography duties. Responsible for pulling game statistics and distributing game-day information to media members covering the event.? Pull newspaper clips each day and distribute to media.? Assist in writing daily game notes, answer phones and take media ticket orders.? Prepare daily credential requests and update database as needed.? Provide Baseball department and coaching staff with information as requested.? Also assist in collecting information for club publications, including yearbook, media guide, magazine and scorecard.? Work with Baseball Communications staff to create, edit and help design the regular and postseason media guide and all other publications.? Write feature stories for publications and provide creative ideas and vision for editorial concepts.? Assist in processing and cataloging all business and action related photography for the club.?
